Module 0
Scope, referral, and ethics come first.
Nine lessons introduce the Psychonutrition House™ framework, clinical attunement, what an “-informed” approach means in nutrition care, CDR scope and flexible boundaries, and the Clinical Translation Guide. The module covers when and how to refer, ethical practice, and the dual-competence standard. Part I adds the Contain-Refer-Document protocol and the Clinician Self-Inventory.
Module 1
Window of tolerance and grounding.
Study the gut–brain connection, neurovisceral integration, and heart rate variability (HRV). You'll examine interoception, the window of tolerance, dissociation and eating, and grounding in nutrition care, with the PACI–HFSC–WIS–MMP–PMCA–MRP clinical sequence for assessment and regulation.
Modules 2 and 3
Stress, eating patterns, and body concerns.
Module 2 examines six nutritional domains of chronic stress and burnout, screening instruments (SCOFF, EAT-26, EDE-QS, PSS-10, MBI-HSS, PHQ-2/GAD-2) with protocols for their use within scope, the BNIA Tool, and a longitudinal clinical case. Module 3 looks at diet culture, internalized weight bias, cultural humility, the Functional Body Framework, and the Body Distress Response Protocol.
What you actually do
Assess, document, and decide on referral.
Across the course you consider how to assess body signals in a session, document your work, and recognize when referral is appropriate. Module 7 brings the framework together through the PHFAP and Prioritization Matrix in a case from intake to discharge.
